About the Band

Jonathan Boone

Born and raised in Bell Island, Newfoundland, Jonathan Boone spent his early years playing hockey.  Jonathan left Bell Island at 16 to pursue a hockey career in Ontario.  His hockey adventures carried him to Ottawa, Halifax, Moncton, and Fredericton.  After meeting his wife, Gillian(a professional modern dancer in Montreal), Jonathan decided to move to Montreal, put down the hockey stick and pick up a guitar.  Coming from a musical background (Jonathan's dad is a very talented singer/ songwriter), music seemed to come naturally to Jonathan.  He now takes pride in his music and songwriting abilityand is thankful for everyone who has shown interest and support in the music that is No.6 Road.

Graham Fillier

Graham remembers early on his uncles picking up guitars and singing on family gatherings. His first guitar came when he was very young, but his musical talent was squashed....literally....the day his sister sat on his guitar and broke it.  Many years passed before another guitar came into his hands again, marking his switch to an acoustic style guitar.   Graham locked himself in his room and learned what he could.  By 16 he was playing in bands, by 17 he played his first high school concert and by 18 he was playing in bars.  Graham played in many different bands throughout his career; one in particular landed licensing and distribution deals with companys in Germany and Japan, experienced very successful record sales, was heard on several local radio stations, and placed in the top 20 in two indie artist contests.  Graham was even featured in a Japanese Guitar Player magazine.  Music has always been an important part of his life, so sharing that passion with his cousin, Jonathan, was an unexpected, but not surprising, turn of events. The music flows like the drinks and the laughter that have always been a part of the "recording and writing" process for No6Rd.
